Jason Sudeikis’s New York law firm was behind the papers served to Olivia Wilde regarding the custody of their children, while she was on-stage in Las Vegas
The woman who served Olivia Wilde custody papers was a Los Angeles-based process server hired by Jason Sudeikis’ New York-based law firm.
A source told The Mirror, the documents detailed which jurisdiction the former couple’s case should be heard in.
Olivia was served the papers while she gave a live presentation on her new movie Don’t Worry Darling, to an audience of more than 4,000 people.
Mirror Online has gone to Jason’s representatives for comment.
The actress, 38, was mid-presentation when she reportedly received legal documents from her ex Jason, which read “personal and confidential” on the envelope.
According to reports, Olivia was shocked when she was handed a brown envelope, from a woman at Caesars Palace’s in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Olivia’s ex did not know she would be served the papers in such a public and humiliating way, PageSix reported.
“This is for me? Is this a script? Ok got it. Thank you,” she reportedly said on stage. “I thought it was part of the presentation or a joke. But then…that was the end of it.”
After opening the documents, it’s claimed Olivia carried on without blinking and continued to present the trailer for her new film.
Jason and Olivia, who share two children together, enjoyed a nine year relationship together before it broke down.
The couple met in 2011 at a Saturday Night Live wrap party when they were both newly single.
Olivia had just ended her eight-year marriage to filmmaker Tao Ruspoli ,while Jason had divorced screenwriter and actress Kay Cannon.
Things turned sour for the couple when Olivia cast her now-boyfriend Harry Styles, in 2020, in her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling.
Olivia is a film director and gave the leading role to the former One Direction heartthrob.
Speaking to Vogue, Olivia said that she and the film’s costume designer Arianne Phillips were excited to have him on set due to his love for gender fluid fashion.
“She [Arianne] and I did a little victory dance when we heard that we officially had Harry in the film, because we knew that he has a real appreciation for fashion and style,” Olivia said.
“To me, he’s very modern, and I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has—truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity—is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world.”
But just hours after the article went to print in November, she and Jason split.
A source told PEOPLE magazine that the split was “amicable”.

“It’s been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine.
“The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.”
“They just fell out of love in a romantic way, but still have love towards one another as people.”
This was followed by conflicting reports of when the couple actually split, with some saying it was at the start of 2020, while others were saying it was the Autumn of that year.
Rumours of Olivia and Harry’s romance sparked in January 2021 after they were spotted holding hands at a wedding in Montecito, California.
A source said: “She began filming [Don’t Worry Darling] in September, and by October, he began to get the impression that she wanted out. By November, they’d announced their split.”
